Day 2: Shared Half-Day Shared City, Harbour & Bondi Beach with Sydney Opera House (0745 – 1130)
Set on the beautiful blue Sydney Harbour, this fast-paced city of cosmopolitan character is one of the world’s most beautiful places. Colonial history, stunning architecture, superb waterways, gracious harbourside suburbs and friendly people epitomise the vibrance of this spectacular city. This tour gives you a wonderful insight into this vibrant and festive city and allows you to explore the beautiful and internationally famous Bondi Beach.
As you explore the streets of Sydney, you will come across some of the city’s most famous landmarks including the Sydney Opera House, Hyde Park, St. Mary’s Cathedral, Parliament House, Art Gallery of NSW and the Royal Botanic Gardens to name but a few. You will be amazed by the beauty of this bustling city as you head towards, Kings Cross – Sydney’s ‘hot spot’, and the world-famous Bondi Beach, and as you crisscross through Paddington and the bustling Chinatown and learn about the rich colonial history as you explore The Rocks.
Finally, take a guided tour of the stunning Sydney Opera House, one of the world’s most recognisable buildings. This essential tour will introduce you to the innovation, creativity and controversy that forged this remarkable building.
Day 3: Free for own leisure or book the optional Grand Blue Mountains Tour. (06:45 -18:00)
Just a two-hour drive west of Sydney, rises the Blue Mountains, a spectacular mountainous region that stands out for its beautiful landscapes and showcases Australia’s typical fauna and flora. Leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind for the day one day as you immerse yourself in this unique environment, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Explore the Blue Mountains and breath in the crisp, clean, fresh mountain top air as you admire distant blue haze horizons overlooking deep ravines with rainforest carpeting the valley floor. Do not miss the most famous location of them all: three rocks that stand out above the rest: The Three Sisters. You will also find waterfalls and quiet villages that will make your day even more special.
Your day in the Blue Mountains will include ample time and photo opportunities at The Three Sisters, Scenic World and Leura. Upon your return to Sydney visit Featherdale Wildlife Park where you will come face to face with Australia’s local wildlife. Finish off your memorable day with a river cruise down the Parramatta River.
Day 4: Transfer from hotel to Sydney airport.
